Chrome Browser Extension
Start timers and log time from your browser toolbar without switching tabs
Applies to: Workforce · Premium · LawBillity
If you spend your day in the browser, answering email, reviewing documents, or doing research, the Chrome extension keeps a timer in your toolbar. You can track time without switching to Time Tracker every time you start or finish a task.
Installing the Extension
- Open the Time Tracker extension in the Chrome Web Store, or search the store for "eBillity Time Tracker".
- Click Add to Chrome and confirm.
- Pin it so it's always visible: click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon, then the pin next to Time Tracker.
- Click the eBillity icon and sign in with your Time Tracker login.
What You Can Do
- Start a timer: click the icon, choose a client and project, and start. You can see the time running in the toolbar.
- Quick Entry: add time you've already worked without opening Time Tracker.
- Today’s entries: see what you've logged today.
Everything you log in the extension shows up on your Time Tracker timesheet automatically.
Common Problems
- The icon isn’t in your toolbar. Pin it from the Extensions icon. If it's still missing, restart Chrome.
- Your client or project isn’t in the list. See Why Can't I See Certain Clients, Projects, or Activities?.
- A running timer paused. Unless your admin has turned on Concurrent Timers, only one timer runs at a time, so starting another one pauses it. See How to Use Timers.
