Here's a brief tutorial on how you can see Time and Expense Entries you've made on behalf of a client.
First, click the "Client" Tab in top navigation and then click the "Time, Expense & Notes" Sub Tab. Use the left and right arrows to scroll through your Client list to select who you'd like to see entries for. Or use the "Client" drop-down menu to jump directly to the Client you want to see entries for.
Click the red cross to expand the "Search Entries" menu where you can define parameters for which entries appear on the list.
Then click the "Search" button after you've made your selections:
A list of time and expense entries that fit you parameters will appear:
- Un-billed entries will appear in red. These entries are not yet associated with an invoice.
- Pre-billed entries will appear in blue. These entries are associated with an invoice, but the invoice hasn't been approved in final form and "locked" or "finalized."
- Finalized entries will appear in green. These entries are included on an invoice that has been finalized (the invoice may or may not have been sent to your Client).
If you'd like to see a Complete Overview of work you've done on behalf of a client including: 1) a by-project breakdown of un-billed and billed time and expenses, or 2) an overall work snapshot for the day, week, year or lifetime of client.
Then click the "Client" Tab on the to navigation. Click the "Overview" Sub Tab
Use the left and right arrows to scroll through your Client list to select who you'd like to see entries for:
Or use the "Client" drop-down menu to jump directly to the Client you want to see entries for.
In the "Client Summary Information" area you can see:
- The Clent's account balance
- The balance of any un-billed Time and Expense Entries.
- The Trust Account balance (if your client has a trust account)
- Record of the most recent invoice
- Record of the most recent invoice
