Using the Invoice Tracker
Follow up on and collect unpaid invoices with the Invoice Tracker add-on
Applies to: Premium · LawBillity
Invoice Tracker is a separate eBillity product for following up on unpaid invoices and collecting what you're owed. It opens from Time Tracker once it's connected to your account.
Opening It
Go to Billing > Invoice Tracker. If you see "Your Time Tracker account is not yet connected to Invoice Tracker," it hasn't been connected for you yet. Ask your admin to give you access. Admins can also deactivate it.
Without Invoice Tracker
You can still keep on top of unpaid invoices in Time Tracker:
- On Billing > Invoices, filter by Payment Status and Days Past Due to see what's late. Partially paid invoices are marked with their own icon.
- Run the Account Receivable report for unpaid balances by client. See Billing & Invoice Reports.
- If one client has several unpaid invoices, send a statement instead of separate reminders. See Client Statements.
Common Problems
- A paid invoice still shows as unpaid. Record the payment. Online payments through Stripe, LawPay, or CPACharge are recorded on their own. See Recording Client Payments.
- A new invoice isn’t showing as owed. Drafts aren't owed yet. Finalize and send it first. See Finalizing and Sending an Invoice.
