A seven-day week, starting on the day your firm has chosen. This is the default.
Most of the time
View Payroll Period
Your firm's pay period: weekly, every 2 weeks, twice a month, every 4 weeks, or monthly
Payroll doesn't line up with a calendar week, or you want to check the whole pay period before you submit
For example, if your firm pays for the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to the end of the month, the payroll period view shows exactly those dates, so you see every entry for one payroll run on one screen.
Your admin sets both in Admin > Settings > System Settings: Work Week starts on (any day, Sunday to Saturday) and Payroll Period.
Common Problems
- Your week starts on the wrong day. Ask your admin to check the week start day.
- The payroll period shows the wrong dates. Ask your admin to check Payroll Period in System Settings. If it's set to Not Defined, there's no pay period to show.
- You missed hours at the end of a pay period. Before you submit, switch to View Payroll Period and check every day is filled in. See Submitting Time for Approval.
