What Employees See vs. What Admins See
Know what each person can see and do, so you give them the right role
Applies to: Workforce · Premium · LawBillity
What someone sees in Time Tracker depends on their role. Use this when you're choosing a role for a new person, or when someone on your team says they can't find a page.

For the difference between Super Admin, Admin, Manager, and Employee, see Understanding User Roles.
When Someone Can't Find Something
- Click Admin > Manage Users.
- Open the menu at the end of the person's row and click Edit User.
- Open the Access Permissions tab. Their role and the clients and projects they can use are set there.
- If their role doesn't include the feature, either give them a different role or ask an admin to do the task for them.
Common Problems
- An employee can’t see a client or project. Their access may be limited to certain clients and projects. See Choosing What Each User Can See (Access Permissions) and Why Can't I See Certain Clients, Projects, or Activities?.
- An employee can’t see a coworker’s time. That's expected. Only admins and managers can open other people's timesheets. See Viewing Other Users’ Timesheets (Admin/Manager).
- Your menus use different words. Your firm may say Workers instead of Users, or Customers instead of Clients. See Renaming Clients, Projects, and Other Terms.
