Time Tracker for iOS (iPhone & iPad)
Install the app on your iPhone or iPad and set it up so timers, GPS, and reminders work
Applies to: Workforce · Premium · LawBillity
Use the iPhone or iPad app to run timers, log time and expenses, and check your schedule when you're away from your desk. It syncs with the web app, so anything you enter on your phone shows up on the web, and the other way around.
Installing the App
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for Time Tracker by eBillity (or eBillity Time Tracker).
- Tap Get to download it.
- Open the app and sign in with the same email and password you use on the web.
Note: If your firm uses LawBillity, download the LawBillity app instead. See
Mobile: Downloading and Installing the App.
What You Can Do in the App
- Timers: start, pause, and stop a timer. It keeps running when you switch to another app.
- Quick time entry: log work you've already done with the date, client, project, activity, and hours.
- Your entries: check and edit the time you've logged.
- GPS clock-in: if your admin turned on GPS tracking, your location is recorded when you start or stop a timer.
- Reminders: push notifications for unfilled timesheets, schedule changes, and approval updates.
- Expenses: log an expense and photograph the receipt with your camera, on plans that include expenses.
Set It Up So It Works
- Allow Location if your company uses GPS tracking. If your admin made location Required for you, you can't enter time without it.
- Allow Notifications so you don't miss timesheet reminders or approval changes.
- No signal? You can still enter basic time. It syncs when you're back online.
Common Problems
- You can’t sign in. Check your email and password, or reset your password from the web. See Mobile: Logging In.
- Your timer stops when you leave the app. Turn on Background App Refresh for Time Tracker in your iPhone's Settings. See Mobile: Common Issues and Fixes.
- You denied a permission by mistake. You can turn it back on in your iPhone's Settings. See Mobile: App Permissions.
